aktueller stand

weihnachtsgeschenke kaufen.
die batterie vom rauchmelder auswechseln.
ein hörspiel für sbs kinderradio pfiffikus schreiben.
meine beine epilieren (meine haare wachsen hier wie unkraut!!!)
die weihnachtsendung für 3zzz vorbereiten.
auf toilette...
mist, meine tram!

new government, new chance

last night australias government changed from labor to liberal. the primeminister now is kevin rudd, the new deputy minister is julia gillard (great women!). he said "I will be a Prime Minister for all Australians. A Prime Minister for Indigenous Australians. Australians who have been born here and Australians who have come here from afar." i know, sounds like a typical politicial speech.
but see what is behind: next week rudd will sign the kyoto protocoll, he will move the australian military back to australia, he will change the education system, the health system, he will change the rights for workers. "Today Australia has looked to the future," he said. "Today the Australian people have decided that we as a nation will move forward."
we all have been very excited about it. this is a new chance. for young people, who will get a better education (more support, you dont have to be very wealthy to study). for indigenous people (rudd will defently say sorry about the stolen generation). for the enviroment (kyoto protocoll, saving water, enviroment - this is so important! think about, what we have done in germany and what we have achieved with our strict system).
he also said thank you to his family. he used the term "partner" when he said thank you to his wife. i like it. therese rein (she kept her surename) is a very intelligent woman. she will be a great first lady, because she is modern, independent (she runs her own buisness) and open minded. "family is the important thing in live", kevin rudd said. indeed.
last night was very exciting. for me personally its important to be under a government who is labour and social orientated anyway. so i only can imagine how great is must be for the australian people who voted for rudd. especially victoria, and especially melbourne with the art/alternative suburbs like fitzroy, northcote and brunswick.
this is a great change. this is a great chance.

a new fruit...

discovered a new type of fruit last week. peapple. a mix between apple and pear. funny taste - the one part of your tounge tells you are eating a apple, the other part enjoys the pear...
